Dr. Sabrina Johnson-Nixon, President

I am Sabrina Johnson-Nixon, President of Zeta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Incorporated. More than 63 years ago, ZIO was chartered as a local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha. Since its beginning, ZIO has maintained its international founders ‘mission and commitment to “Supreme Service To All Mankind” and Sisterhood.

Under the leadership of our International President Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, L.H.D., Alpha Kappa Alpha Program Theme for 2014-2018 is “Launching New Dimensions of Service.” Through these Dimensions of Service, ZIO Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha has the opportunity to address community needs with programs in traditional and new target areas. The program features five target areas, one Signature Program, and Community Service Days.

Serving the communities of Glynn, McIntosh and Camden, ZIO Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha has implemented “New Dimensions of Service” through programming MLK Day of Service (January), Pink Goes Red for a Day (February), 1908 Playground Mobilization Day (May), and The Longest Day Alzheimer's Support Activities (June) as well as kicked-off the ASCEND Program.

As the 2017-2018, President of ZIO, I am humbled to serve as the leader of this exemplary chapter. Over the next two years, I look forward to working with Alpha Kappa Alpha and ZIO’s leadership, members, partners, and sponsors as we “Launch New Dimensions of Service” with the spirit of Humble In Service and Sincere In Sisterhood!
